The staff members reserve the right to decide whether a bug report, suggestion, or other contributions are sufficient to earn a badge. The criteria may change and will be evaluated on an individual basis. You don't need to ask for badges or open tickets - staff members will automatically add badges when they deem your contributions worthy.
